Three suspects arrested after battery leaves one hospitalized in Temecula

Deputies from the Southwest Sheriff’s Station responded to a battery incident in Temecula on January 17, 2026. The call came in at 1:40 a.m. regarding an altercation on the 27000 block of Jefferson Avenue. When deputies arrived, they found two adult male victims. One victim received treatment at the scene while the other was transported to a local hospital due to significant injuries.

Southwest Station investigators took over the investigation and identified three suspects connected to the incident. Christan Harding, age 35 and a resident of Murrieta, was arrested in the 39000 block of Tiburon Avenue, Murrieta, without incident. Harding was booked into Cois Byrd Detention Center on charges of assault likely to produce great bodily injury.

On January 27, authorities located Kevin Willis, a 42-year-old from Murrieta, in Vista on Sycamore Avenue and arrested him without incident. Jevon Harper, age 24 from Temecula, was also taken into custody in Oceanside without incident. Both Willis and Harper face charges of battery with serious injury and assault likely to produce great bodily injury; they were booked into Cois Byrd Detention Center.
