Mark Takano, a U.S. Congressman representing California's 39th district, shared several updates on social media regarding his recent activities and views. His posts covered topics ranging from cultural celebrations to political commentary.

On January 29, 2025, Takano expressed pride in representing the Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) community in Riverside as Vice-Chair of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus (CAPAC). He extended Lunar New Year wishes to those celebrating and mentioned his participation in the 13th Annual Lunar New Year Festival in Riverside. "As a Vice-Chair of @CAPAC, I am proud to represent a vibrant AANHPI community in Riverside and want to wish everyone celebrating a happy Lunar New Year spent with family and loved ones. I had the chance to celebrate with Riversiders at the 13th Annual Lunar New Year Festival."

Later that day, Takano commented on political matters, highlighting concerns about former President Trump's policies. He urged vigilance against what he described as attacks on programs benefiting veterans, children, seniors, and others. "This is an important win, but we have to stay vigilant. Trump is going to keep attacking programs that help veterans, kids, seniors, and many more. We'll keep standing up to his cruelty — every single time."

On January 30, 2025, Takano joined his CAPAC colleagues in criticizing President Trump for allegedly using a tragedy as an opportunity for division among Americans. He called for leadership that rises to meet challenging moments. "I join my CAPAC colleagues in condemning President Trump's attempt to turn a tragedy into an opportunity to further divide Americans. We need a leader, and President Trump is failing to meet the moment."
