The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office announced on Apr. 5 the death of Robyn Gonzalez, a 61-year-old woman from San Diego, whose body was found in an open field in Perris, California.

Authorities said Gonzalez sustained fatal injuries at approximately 12:42 a.m., with her time of death recorded at 1:02 a.m. on April 5. The incident took place at coordinates corresponding to an open field in Perris (33.757722, -117.190078). The California Highway Patrol Border Division is leading the investigation under case number 9685-2026-00516.

According to the press release, next of kin have been notified. The Sheriff’s Office advised that all inquiries regarding this case should be directed to the investigating agency.

No further details about the circumstances surrounding Gonzalez’s death were provided by officials.
