The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office, Norco Substation, will conduct a DUI saturation enforcement operation in the city of Norco on Saturday, January 10, 2026. The operation will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. and aims to address driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs as well as general traffic safety within the city limits.
The department emphasized that impaired driving is not limited to alcohol use. According to their statement, “Some prescription medications and over-the-counter drugs may interfere with driving. Always follow directions for use and read warning labels about driving. While medicinal and recreational marijuana are legal, driving under the influence of marijuana is illegal.”
First-time offenders charged with DUI can expect significant consequences. “Drivers caught driving impaired and charged with a first-time DUI face an average of $13,500 in fines and penalties, as well as a suspended license,” stated the release.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office also reiterated the dangers associated with impaired driving: “Driving under the influence is not only illegal, but also extremely dangerous.”
Funding for this enforcement program comes from a grant provided by the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
