Deputies from the Perris Sheriff’s Station responded to a report of a possible deceased person on Sunday, January 18, 2026, around 12:28 p.m. The incident took place near Nuevo Road and Foothill Avenue in the unincorporated area of Nuevo. Upon arrival, deputies found an adult male who was deceased.
The investigation revealed that the man had suffered traumatic injuries. Authorities have classified the case as a homicide. The Riverside Sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation.
The identity of the victim is being withheld until next-of-kin can be notified. “This case is active and ongoing. No further information will be released at this time,” according to officials.
