A 22-year-old woman from Moreno Valley, identified as Karina Samano, died early on January 12, 2026, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department. The incident occurred on Iris Avenue, approximately 158 feet west of Via Del Lago.
Authorities reported that the injury took place at about 3:13 a.m., and Samano was pronounced dead at the scene eight minutes later. The department confirmed that next of kin have been notified.
The Riverside County Sheriff’s Moreno Valley station is conducting the investigation under case number MV250120025. Officials advised that all inquiries should be directed to the investigating agency.
