On December 13, 2025, deputies from the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station Special Enforcement and Problem-Oriented Policing Teams responded to information about suspected illegal activity at a residence in the 5000 block of Steve Street in Jurupa Valley. Authorities were told that an individual was allegedly using a controlled substance and manufacturing illegal firearms at the location.
Deputies obtained a search warrant for the property. During their search, they found and seized 13 firearms, including two that had been reported stolen and one short-barreled rifle. In addition, they recovered 20 3D-printed lower receivers, several suppressors and large-capacity magazines, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, as well as a small amount of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
The suspect was identified as Marco Ponce de Leon, age 37, a resident of Jurupa Valley. He was arrested and booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center on multiple charges. These include being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, possession of an assault weapon, manufacturing an assault weapon, manufacturing unserialized firearms, along with other weapons-related offenses and drug charges.
