A 40-year-old man from Hemet, California, has died following an incident on February 1, 2026. The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office identified the deceased as Ricardo Olvera Hernandez. According to the coroner’s report, Hernandez sustained injuries at approximately 6:46 p.m. at the intersection of Florida Avenue and Hamilton Avenue in Hemet. He was pronounced dead nine minutes later at 6:55 p.m., about 97 feet west of Hamilton Avenue on Florida Avenue.
The Hemet Police Department is leading the investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death. Authorities have notified Hernandez’s next of kin.
“Refer all inquiries to investigating agency,” stated the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office in its release.
